(Washington, DC) As a part of the 16^th Street Bridge over Military Road, NW, project in Ward 4, the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will close one lane in each direction on the 16^th Street Bridge during the weekends in February until March 9.

Each closure will begin on the Friday at 7 pm and will end the following Monday at 5:30 am. DDOT’s personnel needs to close the lanes to perform bridge repair work related to the project. The closures will occur on the following weekends:

•         Friday, February 13 to Monday, February 16
•         Friday, February 20 to Monday, February 23
•         Friday, February 27 to Monday, March 2
•         Friday, March 6 to Monday, March 9

Motorists should anticipate a slowdown, which will have some impact on traffic because this is a heavily used corridor.
