(Washington, DC) – The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) is proud to present a boo-tiful, bubbling, cauldron of Halloween events for all ages to enjoy - so come out, wear your best costume and have fun at our Halloween festivities throughout the District! Activities will include parades, haunted houses, costume parties, a senior costume event, flashlight hunts, a new annual event for dogs, community events and more. DPR is definitely offering something for everyone this October for Halloween and if you attend any of our Halloween events, tag us @dcdpr on twitter or instagram and use the hashtag #DPRHalloween.

CCRC's First Annual Halloween Masquerade Dog Show
Chevy Chase Recreation Center (5500 41st Street, NW – Ward 3)

Ages: All Dogs
Chevy Chase Rec Ctr will host the first and only official DPR event dedicated to our canine constituents. Dogs (with their owners/families) will participate in a parade and "strut their stuff." Dogs will be judges in various categories and prizes will be given. Dogs must register with the site and can be registered the day of the dog show to select their entry categories.
There will be Tricks and Treats for all!!!
Please note that the parade will start at Chevy Chase Rec Ctr and will march to the Annual “Trick or Treat on the Avenue” event.
