Bowser Administration Announces City Service Updates for Saturday, January 21
(Washington, DC) – Today, Mayor Bowser announced changes in the hours of operation for the DC Streetcar, DC Circulator and Capital Bikeshare for Saturday, January 21, as well as adjustments to the Department of Public Works’ (DPW) trash and recycling collection schedule.
The DC Streetcar will open at 5 am, Saturday, January 21, and close at 2 am, Sunday, January 22.
For charter bus passengers using parking at Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium (RFK), the DC Streetcar is accessible from Lot 6. Visitors can board at the Oklahoma Avenue and Benning Road, NE stop, which is less than 0.5 miles from the stadium. The DC Streetcar line runs to Union Station, which is a short walk from the National Mall.
DC Circulator will suspend service on the National Mall route. All other routes – Georgetown-Union Station, Dupont Circle-Georgetown-Rosslyn, Woodley Park-Adams Morgan-McPherson Square – will operate on normal weekend hours. (Note: Union Station-Navy Yard and Potomac Avenue-Skyland routes do not operate on weekends under winter schedules.)

Capital Bikeshare will reopen stations in phases around downtown and the National Mall on Saturday, January 21. Riders should check capitalbikeshare.com or the SpotCycle app prior to making their trip to see which stations are available.
Capital Bikeshare will establish a corral at 4th Street and E Street, SW from 7 am to 5 pm. A bike valet will be available at 10th Street and Independence Avenue, SW. For more information, go HERE.
The Metrorail system will open two hours early at 5 am and add up to two dozen additional trains to accommodate those attending the Women's March on Washington.

Large crowds are expected for the Women’s March on Washington. All pedestrians are asked to heed commands of Traffic Control Officers and Metropolitan Police Department officers stationed at various intersections.
Trash and Recycling Collection
Trash and recycling collections originally scheduled for Thursday, January 19 will now be made on Saturday, January 21, and Friday’s regularly scheduled collections will now be made on Sunday, January 22.
