(Washington, DC) With the Halloween crowds on October 31, the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) urges motorist to be aware of increased pedestrian traffic.

Following are some events and the impact on the roads.  

Event: Halloween in Georgetown

The Metropolitan Police Department is anticipating large crowds on Friday, October 31

Parking restrictions will be along the following roadways:

Date: Friday, October 31,  from 4 pm, until 6 am on Saturday, November 1

  • K St, NW, from 30th Street to Wisconsin Avenue, NW
  • Water Street, NW from 32nd Street west to the mouth of the Capital Crescent Trail
  • 1000 – 1300 Blocks of Wisconsin Avenue, NW
  • M Street NW, from 25th Street to the Key Bridge
  • 1100 block of 26th Street, NW

Event: The Color Run-Permitting Pending

Date: Saturday November 1  
Times: 9 am-12 pm
Location: Start at First Street SE, between M Street and N Street; End at N Street SE, between South Capitol Street and First Street
Street Closures:  same as location
 

Event: National Race to End Women’s Cancer

Date: Sunday November 2
Times: Festival 7am-10:45am/, run at 9am
Location: Freedom Plaza
Street Closures: Pennsylvania Ave NW between 13th & 14th /13th St between E & Pennsylvania Avenue, from 5 am until 1pm
