Request for a report of all police reports requested through FOIA that make reference to the identity of the requester. MPD’s search was determined to be adequate. MPD’s decision was affirmed, concluding that MPD was not obligated to create new records.
Request for records related to requester. The adequacy of DOC’s search and the redactions it made were affirmed. Appeal was remanded in part because DOC did not specify which investigatory exemption it was invoking.
Request for records related to a specified address. Appeal withdrawn after DCRA provided requester with additional information.
Request for records related to the 2002 theft of a Honda Civic. Appeal was found to be duplicative of FOIA Appeals 2017-21 and 2017-29. MPD’s decision was affirmed.
Request for records related to a restaurant. Appeal was based on a failure to respond, and DDOT provided a receipt that showed DDOT’s response had been received by the requester. The appeal was dismissed as moot.
Request for individual medical records. On appeal proper authorization was provided to DBH, which provided responsive records, and the appeal was dismissed as moot.
Request for records related to the 2002 theft of a Honda Civic. For same reasons as FOIA Appeal 2017-21, MPD’s decision was affirmed on the basis of personal privacy interests in records compiled for law enforcement purposes.
Request for records related to school lottery. Appeal withdrawn after DME provided requester with a reformatted copy of the responsive document.
Request for medical records and correspondence sent to and from correctional facilities in the Midwest. OOG’s response was affirmed on the basis that OOG does not maintain records related to correctional facilities.
Request for student performance on standardized testing. Appeal withdrawn after DCPS provided requester with additional information.
