(Washington, DC)–As part of the 11^th Street Bridge project, the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) reopened the Southeast Boulevard between 11^th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, SE, to traffic earlier today. The opening marks the completion of yet another major milestone of the 11^th Street Bridge Project.

This opening provides an alternate direct connection between I-695 (Southeast/Southwest Freeway) and Pennsylvania Avenue, SE (Barney Circle) via the newly constructed at-grade intersection at 11^th Street, SE.
