(Washington, DC)- The Metropolitan Police Department and the Department of Transportation would like to inform the public of street closures in conjunction with the Walk to End Lupus Now event scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 2015. 

The following street closures will occur from 5 am to 12:30 pm:

• Pennsylvania Avenue, NW between 14th Street, NW and 12th Street, NW

The following street closures will occur from 9 am to 11:30 am:

• Pennsylvania Avenue, NW from 12th Street, NW to 3rd Street, NW
• 4th Street, NW from Pennsylvania Avenue, NW to Constitution Avenue, NW 
• 6th Street, NW from E Street, NW to Constitution Avenue, NW 
• 10th Street, NW from E Street, NW to Constitution Avenue, NW 
• 7th, 9th, 12th, Streets, NW from E Street, NW to Constitution Avenue, NW

Motorists traveling in the area of this event may experience delays and should consider alternative routes, if possible. The Metropolitan Police Department and the District Department of Transportation would like to remind motorists to pay full attention whenever operating any motor vehicle and to be mindful of heavy pedestrian traffic that may be associated with special events.  These street closings are subject to change without notice based upon unanticipated events and prevailing conditions.
