(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will conduct a series of bridge and tunnel safety inspections throughout the District’s highway network on Wednesday, November 19 and Friday, November 21, 2014. These activities will require single-lane closures and take place during off-peak hours from 10 am and 3 pm, weather permitting.

The required lane closures and inspection activities are scheduled to occur as follows:

14^th Street, Northbound over Lane A-1 and 14^th Street, Northbound and Southbound over I-395 

Wednesday, November 19, 2014
There will be alternating lane closures of Northbound 14^th Street over I-395 Lane A-1 and I-395 followed by a right lane closure of Southbound 14^th Street over I-395 followed by alternating right and left shoulder closures of the Eastbound I-395 Lane A-1  under Northbound14^th Street.

Thursday, November 20, 2014
There will be a left shoulder closure of  Westbound I-395 under 14^th Street followed by a left lane closure (adjacent to the pier) of Westbound I-395 under 14^th Street.

Friday, November 21, 2014
There will be a right lane closure of  Westbound I-395 under 14^th Street .

Traffic controls will be in place to warn motorists as they approach the areas.

Motorists are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
