Lane Closures for Bridge and Tunnel Safety Inspections on February 4 and February 6

(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will conduct a series of bridge and tunnel safety inspections throughout the District’s highway network on Wednesday, February 4 and Friday, February 6, 2015.  These activities will require single-lane closures, which will occur during off-peak hours from 10 am to 3 pm, weather permitting.

The required lane closures and inspection activities are scheduled to occur as follows:

Pennsylvania Avenue, SE, over ramp/tunnel from Pennsylvania Avenue to I-695  

Wednesday February 4, 2015
There will be a right-lane closure of the westbound ramp/tunnel from Pennsylvania Avenue to I-695 under Pennsylvania Avenue, SE, followed by a left-lane closure of the westbound ramp/tunnel from Pennsylvania Avenue to I-695 under Pennsylvania Avenue, SE.

Connecticut Avenue, NW, over Klingle Valley  

Friday February 6, 2015
There will be a right-lane closure of northbound Connecticut Avenue, NW, over Klingle Valley followed by a right-lane closure of southbound Connecticut Avenue, NW, over Klingle Valley.

Traffic controls will be in place to warn motorists approaching the areas. Motorists are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
