Tracking 100 Days and Beyond

The Mayor's "100 Days and Beyond" blueprint for his Administration has a new online scorecard. In a new section of dc.gov, residents and visitors can track each goal of the "100 Days" plan and find information on how it was achieved. Read more.

Moving Forward on School Reform

Mayor Fenty testified during the DC Council's last hearing on his education reform proposal. The plan would give the Mayor direct oversight over the public schools. His testimony follows the endorsements of the Washington Teachers' Union and the Washington Interfaith Network. Read more.

Emancipation Day: Mark Your Calendar!

Show Congress how you feel about the District's lack of voting representation. On April 16, Emancipation Day, Mayor Fenty will lead a march from Freedom Plaza to the United States Capitol. The march will end with a rally to demand voting rights.

Your support is needed, as the Mayor hopes tens of thousands of District residents will make a strong showing before Congress. Read more.


Mayor Announces Safe Schools Program

Reducing school violence and getting children home safely are the twin goals of the Mayor's new Safe Schools program. The program is a collaboration of District Government agencies and community nonprofit organizations. Read more.


How to Report a Pothole

The rapid freezing and thawing of road surfaces in winter leaves potholes behind. If you spot one, please call the Mayor's Call Center at 727-1000 or submit an online service request. The DC Department of Transportation will repair it within 72 hours, but aims to do so within 48 hours. Read more.


What's New for Tax Filing Season

The deadline for filing your taxes is almost here. The 2006 tax year includes several changes, including deuctions for the health insurance benefits of domestic partners, and for teachers who buy their own school supplies. Read more.
