MPD and FEMS to Increase Safety by Improving Communication

As part of Mayor Adrian M. Fenty’s 100 Day Plan, the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) and the DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services (FEMS) are now meeting on a monthly basis to improve and increase safety throughout the District.  The first meeting brought together the command staff from both departments who will continue to meet quarterly.  Monthly meetings between MPD and FEMS will be between District Commanders and Battalion Chiefs.
