Mayor Fenty Reconvenes Emergency Preparedness Council

Mayor Adrian M. Fenty reestablished the Emergency Preparedness Council, which is made up of representatives from city agencies that play a role in emergency situations such as the Metropolitan Police Department, District Department of Transportation and the Office of Unified Communications.  The Council meets monthly to stay on top of developments and update emergency response plans. Reestablishing the Emergency Preparedness Council was one of Mayor Fenty’s goals for the first 100 days of his administration to ensure that the District is prepared for all emergencies.
