Litter Can (Repair)
Description/Schedule of Service
Public litter cans are those placed around bus stops and on commercial strips. Identify the specific location of the problem litter can. Describe the nature of the problem (i.e. damaged can, missing liner or lid, can off its base). Report broken/damaged litter cans immediately to the Citywide Call Center at (202) 727-1000 or complete a service request online using the District government's Service Request Center. A service request will be put into the Hansen tracking system, and the resident will receive a service request number.

Further Action
DPW's standard is to respond to reports of litter can damages within 7 business days of the time they are reported (3 4 days to investigate and 3 days to resolve). Call the Mayor's Hotline at 727-2980, if the damaged litter can has not been repaired by the specified date of completion. Please reference your service request number.
