DC government joins forces with United Way and United Black Fund to help worthy charities
Event begins October 4, 2011 at noon
We’ve all felt the impact of these tough economic times. Our local non-profit organizations have been impacted as well and they need our support more than ever.
The District of Columbia government is joining forces with the United Way of the National Capital Area and the United Black Fund to provide worthy charities and causes with much needed contributions in the annual DC One Fund Campaign.
The DC One Fund Campaign's goal is to raise $1,000,000. With your generous contributions, these organizations will be able to continue in their efforts to offer health and human services to District residents and other persons throughout the region.
Government employees can contribute to the DC One Fund through bi-weekly payroll deductions and will be granted with an excused absence if they attend the DC One Fund Campaign Kickoff on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at One Judiciary Square, 441 4th Street NW, Washington DC.
